SNBPACS STUDENT COUNCIL 2019-20

At SNBPACS, we promote students to participate and work in various activities. We encourage them to participate in team task and the decision-making process. This helps students to learn various skills like management, administrative, coordination, organisation, etc. It enhances confidence and personality of the students.

STUDENT COUNCIL FUNCTIONS & EVENTS

1) NSS:

In academic year 2017-18 college introduce the NSS with aim to create a social sense and develop the potential of student through community secure. The social, cultural, community activates are conducted under NSS. Seven days Special camp is organised in the village where student learn self-discipline, rural life of people. The aim of special camp is to promote self confidence in students and aware with the social life. Swachata Abhiyan, Samaj Probodhan, Street Play, Rallies, Survey, Tree Plantation, Cultural and trekking camp, etc. is organised.

2) Placement:

The college is organising every year placement for the students. College has tie-up with the companies for internship, industrial visit etc. During the campus interview students are recruited in various manufacturing, service and IT industry. College has placement cell. Through the placement cell college runs various placement-oriented courses which help the students to groom and crack the interview.

3) Sports & Events:

The college promote to students to participate in various University and Private sports competitions. Every year students participated in various university sports tournaments and represent to them on State and National level. The college organise the inter collegiate Hockey tournament with collaboration of SPPU. Also, the college participated in private/open tournaments. With the sports college also support to students in cultural events like dance, drama, etc.

4) Sporto-Cultural Carnival:

Every year in the month of December college organise a Sporto-Cultural Carnival for students in college campus. This is a four days feast for the students where so many events are organised by students for students. It is mixture of sport, cultural and social events. The purpose of this event is to create the platform to students’ talents, create business sense and build up the managerial skills. Here students are participant as well as they are organiser. In this Four days, Bech Ke Dekho, Foods and Games Stall, Funny Games & Sports, Exhibition of painting, electronic & science, Best from Waste, Rangoli & Mehndi, Fishpond, Fashion show, Dance is organised. It provides real time experience to the students.

5) Institute Social Responsibility:

College always is a part of society and do something for society. College students visits Old Age Home and orphanage and stay their one day with them. Also, it helps to people during flood, earthquake and natural calamities by providing cloth, grain, medicine etc. These activities create the moral and social values and ethics.

6) Days Celebration:

Every year college celebrate various days like, Yoga day, Youth day, Vachan Day, etc. Most of the students of college doing yoga regularly. The international yoga day is celebrated by the students through the making of Yogasan. On occasion of Swami Vivekand Jayanti all students organise youth rally and spread message in youth to protect themselves from bad habits. On Vachan day the college library is open to all where students can make reading of various articles and give speech on them.

7) Media:

The college provides the digital platform to the student’s creativity through the social media. College has its own Facebook page, Instagram, YouTube channel where all events and happenings are published regularly. Also, college publish college Magazine ‘ASPIRE’ and provides the opportunity to students to show their creativity.

8) Career Guidance & Grooming:

Career Guidance is provided through Guest lectures, Workshop and time to time Counselling. Career Guidance team provides the personality and communication development programmes through students can groom themselves. Also, this team organizes the programs to create awareness about the importance of higher studies, competitive examination and skills required for the employment.

9) Women Empowerments:

College conducts various activities related with the women empowerments. Every year the college runs Nirbhay Kannya programme under this programme Seven days Self-defence training is provided to Girls. Guest lectures are organised on women empowerments. Also, sexual harassment work shop was conducted.

10) Connect with Class:

This team has elected representatives from every class with purpose of building vigorous relationship between faculty members and students. This team works to improve domain knowledge of students and to create a learning environment that helps to develop the skill sets of the students.

ACADEMIC AND ADVISORY BODIES

1) Student Council:

A Student Council is established to representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the institution, working in partnership with college management, staff and parents for the benefit of the institution and its students.

2) Grievances Redressal Committee (Students):

As per the rules and regulations addressed by the UGC and SPPU, college has been constituted the “Grievance Redressal Committee” where students are representatives’ along with the staff members to enquire the nature and extent of grievance.

3) Internal Quality Assurance Committee:

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has established to improve the quality and ensure the sustainability. Enhancement of quality is a continuous process so the IQAC will become a part of a system and work towards achieving the objectives. The committee comprises of faculty members and students representative and other members.

4) Anti-Ragging Committee:

In tune with the policy to ensure completely ragging free environment in the campus and in compliance with the letter from UGC from time to time, Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted at the beginning of every academic year. It comprises of faculty members, students from the fresher’s category as well as seniors and selected non-teaching staff as nominated by the Director.

5) Extension Committee:

Encourage students to take responsibility and initiatives in the Social Segment and for the betterment of the Society. A series of activities are planned which will be helpful for the society as a whole and create a holistic development by sensitizing students towards Health, Gender and Environmental matters.

6) Library Committee:

This Committee aim to make available books demanded by students and faculties create reading culture in the institute by organizing book exhibitions.

7) Industry Interaction Committee:

The purpose of the cell is to find out the gap between need of the industry and end product of the institute. The cell is the bridge between the industry, the real world and the institute.

8) Co-Curricular Committee:

Co-curricular activities aim at cultivating students’ all-round development. Through participating in diversified extra-curricular activities, students’ potential is developed. Co-curricular activities like group discussions, elocution contests, business quizzes, class presentation, debates, inter-institute competitions etc are regularly held to stimulate the thinking process and form an integral part of the holistic personality development of the students.
